Time for the concert. has been set at 8:45 p.m. so that members of Kiwanis, and others who may have early evening engagements, en-gagements, will be able to attend. The performance of the orchestra was highly praised, following its appearance early in the year and a large audience is expected ' for the concert this month. Members of the orchestra have been rehearsing for several weeks under the guidance of director John G. Hilgendorff, and will continue con-tinue their work during the time remaining, to bring the concert program to a peak of perfection. Definite decision as to the selections selec-tions which will constitute the program will be reached at this Thursday's rehearsal and will be announced next week. In support of the opinion expressed ex-pressed editorially in the Springville Spring-ville Herald last week, the management man-agement of the Civic Orchestra has expressed a desire to assist in the development of all phases of the community's cultural life. Accordingly, by agreement between be-tween the orchestra's Executive Board and the Art Committee, proceeds from the concert on April 29th will be shared by the Orchestra Orches-tra and the Art Project. |
