Show Camp SpringviUe DUP Conducts Feb. Meet The home of Mrs. Belle W. Childs was appropriately decorated with American flags and other patriotic emblems for the SpringviUe Camp DUP February meeting, on Thursday Thurs-day afternoon of the past week. Co-hostesses for the afternoon were: Mrs. Leah Sumsion, Mrs. Estella Ollerton, Mrs. Anna Young, Mrs. Lena Maycock and Mrs. Ret-ta Ret-ta Sumsion. During the meeting, which was held immediately after the funeral of Mrs. Myrtle Harrison, a former member, time was set aside to pay silent tribute to her, and Mrs. Hat-tie Hat-tie Dougall also read a poem to honor her memory. Adding an interesting note to the program was the history of Dr. Frederick Dunn, one of Spring-ville's Spring-ville's earliest physicians, given by his daughter, Mrs. Sterling Price. The lesson was given by Mrs. Ella Reynolds. Mrs. Melba Wheeler and Mrs. Vera Zobell rendered a vocal duet, the words of which were written by Dr. Dunn. Mrs. Bess Mendenhall was accompanist. accompan-ist. Hostesses served tasty refreshments refresh-ments at the close of the meeting to members and several special guests, including Mrs. May Child, Mrs. Zina Condie, Mrs. Beulah Whiting, Mrs. Vinnie Boyer, Mrs. Ada Barron of Logan. |
