Show SURPLUS BALLOONS OFFERED FOR SALE r Gerald L. Leaver, manager of the Salt Lake Agency, announced today that the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, designated by the Surplus Property Board to TiorjHlo nirprnfl" Hisnn.Qfll hfl.d re duced the price of 260 barrage balloons, made in a previous announcement, an-nouncement, to forty cents a square yard. The balloons which once floated over war plants and defense areas have been declared surplus and placed on sale. The material of which they are constructed has been found suitable for a wide variety of purposes. The fabric is a 2-ply, lightweight material coated with neoprone; is waterproof and proof against a number of acids, and, in addition, is heat and cold resistant. Some of the many product uses for which the material has been found suitable include: raincoats, roofing for buses and trailers, tents, tarpaulins, sheeting for hospital hos-pital and home use, and aprons. Generally the material can be used wherever a lightweight weatherproof weather-proof covering is required. The balloons are in two sizes, consisting of 781 square yards of material in the largest, and 260 square yards in "the smallest. No odd lot sizes will be sold, the buyer buy-er must take the balloon in its entirety. |
