Show 'UTAH COUNTY STAYS ' WITH BUDGET DURING PAST YEAR Utah county operated within its budget during 1946 and had a casn I balance at the end of the year of ?525,253, according to the annual auditor's report submitted by -o. Auditor Karl H. Bennett. The report listed total g expenditures expendi-tures for fte year at S631-518-6 against a budget of $663,263.64 leaving an unexpended 'balance of $31745 The county auditors report re-port for the year 1945 listed expenditures ex-penditures of $542,060.06. County revenues dropped off 15. percent in 1946 as against 1945, a comparison of the two yearly reports re-ports reveals. The 1946 report lists total revenues of $670,341.33, of which $507,701.39 came from taxes tax-es and the balance from sundry revenue. The county's 1945 report listed total revenues of $788,775.-89, $788,775.-89, with $629,396.53 coming from taxes and the balance from sundry revenue. The county had total capital assets as-sets in. 1946 of $3,808,405.29, Mr. Bennett's report said, the chief item of which was Utah county roads, valued at $3,014,250. Next biggest item was the county equity equ-ity in the city and county building, valued a $397,613.09. "The cotmy 3 in excellent financial finan-cial condition," Mr. Bennett said. "It has no bonded indebtedness, and a cash on hand balance of better bet-ter than half a million dollars at the beginning of 1947." |
