Show 'ARMY TRANSPORTS RETURN 25 UTAH WAR HEROES The bodies of 25 Utah war dead, killed in action in the European theater of operations, arrived Tuesday in New York harbor aboard two army transports, and arrangements are being made for final interment, according to an announcement from U. S. army headquarters in Washington, D. C. Final tribute to Utah's heroes will be paid them by families and friends at times and places to be announced later in the month. The Utah war dead were brought to the United States aboard army transports, Robert F. Burns and John L. McCarley, in company with 5342 American war heroes. Virtually all remains aboard the McCarley were returned from D-day military cemeteries in Normandy. Nor-mandy. Those aboard the Burns were from later-established cemeteries. |
