Show NATIONAL JAYCEE OFFICER VISITS IN SPRINGVILLE Henry Kearns of Pasadena, Calif., the - national president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, arrived in Springville Wednesday, with Mrs. Kearns,' and were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Thorn. They came by plane to Salt Lake City on Tuesday, from Oakland, Calif. Mr. Kearns was on his way to Gunnison where he presented the charter to the newly-organized Kearns club of that city on Wednesday Wed-nesday night. He was accompanied accompa-nied by Mr. Thorn, national vice-president vice-president of the Junior Chamber, and returned to Springville that evening. During his stay here, Mr. Kearns called at the Herald office and was profuse in his praise of Utah clubs, stating that those of this state, and that of Springville, are recognized as being among the finest in the United States. While here, he was taken on a tour of the Springville Art gallery and other places of interest. Mr. Kearns is a native of Gunnison, Gun-nison, a graduate of the University Univer-sity of Utah and now makes his j home in Pasadena, Calif. |
