Show BROOKSIDE HOMES FILLING RAPIDLY The new housing project at Brookside is fast becoming one of the busiest sections of this city with families moving in daily, practically prac-tically filling the 163 homes which were built under the original contract. con-tract. Interest in the project was stimulated stim-ulated recently when the project was transferred from the Allied Credits and American Land company com-pany to the FHA, and the Brook-side Brook-side Real Estate company was placed with managing brokers, with S. L. Mendenhall, Jr., sales manager. Since the project was taken over ov-er by the Brookside Realty, Jan. 3, a total of 89 homes have been sold while others are planning purchases. pur-chases. Prior to this time, only 23 homes were sold, making a total to-tal of 112 homes now purchased. When proposed improvements are completed at the homesite, the subdivision will be one of the most attractive in the city. A majority major-ity of the purchasers are young people and many are returned servicemen. Among the 23 early purchasers of homes in the subdivision were, Frank Sanford, Charles Franks, Woodrow Weight, Mrs. Fern Smith, Dick Conover, Dean Bird, Frank Brown, Ed Forshee, Erwin Sheffield, Howard Waters, Joe Miller, Frank Loftin, J. M. Hunter, Hunt-er, Clyde Beardall, Ernest Holt and Reed Dallin.
