Show and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. O Thorn and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Thorn accompanied them to Salt Lake City Tuesday on their return. Emmett Boyer of Denver, Colo., formerly of Springville. is spending a few days with relatives rela-tives and friends and is the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Johnson. John-son. ' Dee Sanford has returned to Springville from the Hawaiian Islands where he spent several weeks. He made the trip to and from the islands by plane and enroute home visited a short time with his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brinton. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hunter are spending their vacation with relatives and friends in Idaho. (Paragraphs Ol) (Interest ... j Mr. and Mrs. Erling Roylance and children have returned from a few days vacation trip to Yellowstone Yel-lowstone National Park, the Te-tons Te-tons and Jackson Hole, Wyo. Luann McCormick of Kamas is visiting in Springville with Miss LuDean Pyper. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Jacobsen have returned from a three week's tour of the east and middle west. Elder Jacobsen has just completed a two year mission in the eastern states and was met by his wife, the former Maryn Davis and in company with a couple from Salt Lake City, they toured many places of church historical interest in-terest enroute home. Mrs. Othell Bird is convalescing from a major operation which she underwent the past week at the Payson hospital. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Wheeler in company with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brailsford, spent an interesting day Thursday of the past week at Greenriver and points of interest in-terest enroute. They are especially especial-ly interested in the district in which drilling is going on for oil. At a point about 40 feet from the Greenriver, they saw the geyser which is attracting the attention of tourists and Utah natives as the only cold water geyser in the country. Mr. Wheeler reported the geyser spouts a column of cold water to a height of 100 to 150 feet every hour. The absence of heated water in the geyser makes the eruption one of the world's mysteries as to the source of the forces necessary to force a column of cold water to these heights. The group reported an excellent camping site in the vicinity. Mrs. Lillian Huntington has returned re-turned from an enjoyable week's visit with Mr. and Mrs. Rude Peterson and family at Logan. Mrs. Cora Thorn Bird has returned re-turned to her home in Los Angel-es.Calif., Angel-es.Calif., and Mrs. Jennie Sanford has gone back to Elko, Nev., after af-ter a visit here with their brother |
