Show Hafen-Dallin Club Elect Officers At Closing Social New officers of the Hafen-Dallin Club were elected and business discussed at the closing meeting and social held Thursday afternoon, after-noon, at the home of Mrs. 'Clara Sumsion, retiring president. Mrs. Nell Condie was elected president and with other officers of the organization will take over her duties beginning with the first meeting this fall. Other officers include, Mrs. Lela Nelson, vice-president; vice-president; Mrs. Delia Harris and Mrs. Margaret Miner, board members. mem-bers. The historians are appointed for an indefinite period and the secretary is to be appointed by the new president. The president , automatically auto-matically becomes a member of the board. During the afternoon, the group went over the scrap book compiled by Historian Mae Huntington on current affairs pertaining to the art movement in Springville and also the book of Hafen on which Eva Crandall has been working and the book on Dallin which has been compiled by Mrs. Ada Barron Bar-ron and Mrs. Beulah Whiting. The club hopes to have the books permanently per-manently displayed in the high school art gallery and plans are being worked out by an architect for appropriate display quarters. The meeting Thursday afternoon was concluded with refreshments served to approximately twenty four club members. |
