Show Postponed Church Benefit Is Tonite The date for the basket lunch entertainment being staged by the Sixth ward Elders of Kolob stake to help raise funds for the building build-ing of the new ward-stake house has been set for Thursday evening, even-ing, in the Mapleton ward chapel. Plans call for the bringing of a basket lunch by the ladies of each family with names hidden inside. The baskets will be auctioned auc-tioned off and the highest bidders will have the pleasure of eating the lunch with the lady who packed it and her family. Since what is given for the lunch is to be applied on the bidders building build-ing assessment, keen interest and sizeable bids are expected. Participants are asked to come "as you are" with aprons and overalls the preferred dress. Glenn Clark and Thayne Stone have been chosen as the "clippers" to do away with any ties that might find their way to the party. Bert Cherrington is general chairman of the event and extends ex-tends an invitation to any one who desires to aid the building project. |
