I i ORDINANCE NO. 603 AN ORDINANCE Confirming and Declaring Effective An Ordinance Ordin-ance Adopted by the City Council Coun-cil of Springville City, Utah, on March 21, 1949, Subject to a Favorable Vote of the Qualified Electors of Said City. WHEREAS, on the 21st day of March, 1949, an initiative petition was presented to the City Council requesting the enactment of an ordinance or-dinance entitled, "An Ordinance providing for the construction of extensions and improvements to the municipally owned electric and water plant and system of Springville Spring-ville City, Utah; authorizing and providing for the issuance of $400,-000 $400,-000 Electric and Water Revenue Bonds of Springville City, Utah, for the purpose of defraying the cost of the construction of such extensions and improvements and the acquisition of additional water; wa-ter; prescribing the form and other details of said bonds; providing for the collection and disposition of the revenue to be derived from the electric and water plant and system; sys-tem; making other provisions with respect to the operation of said plant and system and the issuance of said bonds and providing for the payment of said bonds"; and WHEREAS on the 21st day of March, 1949, aforesaid the City Council adopted said ordinance subject to a favorable vote of the qualified electors of Springville City voting at a special election to be called by the City Council, and the City Council at said meeting called a special election to be held in said city on the 26th day of April, 1949, for the purpose of sub- said city the question of approving said ordinance; and WHEREAS there was also submitted sub-mitted at said special election to all of the qualified electors of said city who paid a property tax in said city in the year preceding such election, the question of issuing issu-ing $400,000 Electric and Water Revenue Bonds; and WHEREAS said election was duly and regularly held and a majority ma-jority of the qualified electors of the city voting in said election and the majority of the qualified tax-paying tax-paying electors voting in said elec- tion voted in favor of the approval of said ordinance and the issuance of said bonds, and said election results re-sults have today been officially canvassed and have been declared to have resulted in favor of the approval ap-proval of said ordinance and in favor of the issuance of said bonds; NOW, THEREFORE, It Is Hereby Ordained by the City Council of Springville City, Utah County, Utah, that said ordinance is hereby approved, ratified, confirmed con-firmed and declared to be in full force and effect, and that immediately immedi-ately after the adoption of this ordinance this ordinance shall be signed by the Mayor and City Recorder, Re-corder, shall be recorded in a book kept for that purpose and shall be published in the Springville Herald, a newspaper published and having general circulation in the City of Springville City, Utah.
