Show Celebrates Birthday ... - .' ii 1 I iJ '1 II i i i ;' i i Mrs. Ruth Taylor Dinner Marks 80th Birthday s Surrounded by Ker sons and daughters and their wives and husbands, and most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Mrs. Ruth Taylor, known to her many friends as "Aunt Ruth," celebrated her 80th birthday on Wed nesday of last week. In her honor a family dinner was given at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gay, with whom she makes her home. Guests included : Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Olsen, all of Springville; Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Dar-win Taylor of Spanish Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Gay and a number num-ber of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Born in Delper, Derbyshire, England, Mrs. Taylor came to this country and to Utah at the age of 18 years as a convert to the LDS church. She was the only member of her family to come, and upon arriving here made her home with an uncle, James Taylor. She has a brolher and a half sister still in England. In 1888. she was married to Jabez Taylor. Mr. Taylor died in April, 1929. During her earlier life, Mrs. Taylor took active part in church work, teaching in the Primary and Religion class organizations. Later she took part in Relief Society. She is also a member of the DUP Camp Spring Creek. Besides five sons and daughters, she has 23 grandchildren grand-children and 18 great grandchildren. |
