Show Coming Events . . . Junior Fireside Members of the Junior Fireside Chat and others interested, are invited to attend a meeting Sunday Sun-day at 8:30 p. m., at the home of Gerwin Riding, 208 South Main. All boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 17 years are invited. in-vited. M.I.A. ENTERTAINS AT CHERRY PARK The stake M. I. A. officers entertained en-tertained at a party Tuesday evening eve-ning at Cherry Park, Hobble Creek canyon, in honor of Wm. Schreiner, retiring Y. M. M. I. A. superintendent, and other retiring board members. The stake presidency presi-dency and partners and partners of the stake board were also special spe-cial guests. The entertainment opened with the serving of a nicely arranged supper at one long table, with covers cov-ers laid for approximately 50 people. peo-ple. Lovely bouquets of early fall flowers were used as decorations. After the meal, the group assembled as-sembled around a huge bon fire where a delightful program was given, including readings by Mrs. O. H. Dalton; community singing led by Golden Hansen and short talks by President E. A. Strong and Mr. Schreiner. Glenn Holley, stake Y. M. M. I. A. supt., acted as master of ceremonies during the evening CANYON PARTY ENJOYED BY CLUB, PARTNERS Members of the S. T. Club and their partners were guests of Mrs. Bert Rowland and Mrs. Bill Phillips at a delightful canyon party last Saturday evening. A tasty lunch was served at small tables early in the evening and later, progressive "500" was played. High score prizes were won by Mrs. Lee Sumsion and Bill Brown. Attending the party were twenty twen-ty club members and guests. The best election forecast is the official tabulation and sometimes this is erroneous. |
