Should .Sixth and Mapie- tun win Thursday's contests, the two cliihs will meet Saturday in a erneial git me. Sixth must win both Thursday and Saturday to tie for top honors with Mapleton. Should Sixth lose to Mapleton, j Mapleton would then hold a two-game two-game lead in the title chase. Mapleton won the feature game of the evening last Thursday night when they downed the First ward club 16-14 in the lowest scoring game to (late. Both clubs played a tight defensive game, accounting account-ing for the low scoring. Sixth defeated de-feated Third 41.-28 in the other game of the evening. Mapleton held a slim one-point margin at the first quarter and Increased it to 5 points at the end of the third period. A belated rally ral-ly by the First fell short 2 points as the gun ended the game. V. Jensen and Bills counted 5 each for the winners while Fullmer and Pierce, with 5 each, were high scorers for the losers. Bish ITarward and RG Weight, with 11 and 10 points, respectively, respective-ly, led the Sixth warders in their win over Third. Salisbury and Johnson, with 12 and 7 points, were high scorers for the losers. The feature game of the evening went to Third over First in one of the best-played M Men games thus far. Third, with Johnson feeding the ball to Met-calf Met-calf and Bissell, and ringing up 6 counters for himself, kept one or two baskets in head of First throughout the entire game. The smooth-working Third warders played consistent ball throughout, with every man scoring. Walker and R. Watts counted 8 and 7 points for the losers. Thursday's games marked the close of the first round of play and Saturday's tilts opened the second round. Three rounds comprise com-prise the M Men schedule.
