Show L.D.S. CHURCH BEGINS SPRING BEAUTIFICATION Annual program of beautifying and improving ward and stake buildings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints now is in full swing, Thorpe B. Isaacson, second counselor in the presiding bishopric, announced. In most cases, the work is being done by contract, with wards providing pro-viding 35 of the total cost of approved maintenance and beauti-fication beauti-fication work and the remainder coming from general offices. Ward members themselves, in some cases, are doing the work as a neighborhood and church improvement im-provement project. In the case of painting and decorating, the presiding pre-siding bishopric then supplies all paint, brushes and related materials mater-ials and the ward provides the iabor. |
