Show COUGARS MEET COWBOYS FRIDAY NIGHT PROVO Following the hit made with football fans by the first night game at Brigham Young university, the University of Wyoming Cowboys will tackle the Cougars Friday night in the second night game at the "Y" stadium. Coach Eddie Kimball is putting the Cougars through final practice prac-tice skirmishes in readiness for the fray, and the Cougars are all set to sink their claws firmly into in-to victory when they meet the Cowboys in their season's second home game. Wyoming reports, however, are that the Cowboys are laying plans to corral the Cougars and ride roughshod over I their goaline. So a bang-up game is expected. With approval of 6,000 fans stamped on the new lighting system, sys-tem, when it was used for the first time September 27 when the Cougars held University of Nevada Nev-ada Wolves to a 6-6 tie, that popular innovation is expected to help attract a record crowd Friday Fri-day night. Many fans who would not be able to attend an afternoon after-noon game welcome the night games. Kickoff for the battle will be at 8 p.m. Tickets are selling fast and fans are advised to come early. A local boy who will likely see action in the Cougar-Cowboy tilt is Frank Witney, who plays guard position. |
