Ostler, spent the 24th of July with relatives and friends at Price. t f t St. and Mrs. Joseph Olsen and baby spent a few days of last week with her father, James Childs, and sister, Margaret, and other relatives here enroute from Camp Shelby, Miss., to California where Sgt. Olsen will be stationed. Dr. and Mrs. L. E. Otteson and family spent three days of the past "week as guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Reeves at Gooseberry Creek. Sgt. Isaac F. Akinaka of the Hawaiian Islands, a friend of Grant Clyde on his recent mission on the islands, visited with Mr. Clyde's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed ClsTie, Saturday. Sgt. Akinaka was a member of the famed 100th M. Battalion and has been in action ac-tion in the African and Italian theaters the past eighteen months. He has also been awarded the Silver Sil-ver Star and Bronze Star for his services. . Mrs. Anna Mendenhall and daughter Velma visited early this week with friends and relatives in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Mary Oakes, nurse at Bushnell General hospital, visited over the week-end with relatives and friends here. Mrs. George Roylance and daughter, Mrs. Alene R. Sperry, spent Friday at Nephi, the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Sperry. . m m Major and Mrs. Roscoe Nelson of Logan were guests the past week of Mrs. Pauline Pace at her home here. Major Nelson is a marine fighter squadron leader and is home on a furlough after spending a year in the South Pacific. Pa-cific. He is now operational of f i cer at Sarta Ana, Calif., air base Margaret Childs has just returned re-turned from a delightful three-weeks' three-weeks' visit with friends in New Hampshire. Major M. O. Tryon of Phoenix, Ariz., who is at Bushnell General hospital receiving treatment for wounds on the Aiigio beachhead, was the week-end guest at the home of Mrs. Mary M. Oakes. He is a friend of Major' Wilford T. Mendenhall, in England. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lundquist and little daughter, Anne, spent a delightful week-end at Ogden visiting relatives. They were accompanied ac-companied by Delia Mae Holmes, who visited her sister. |
