Show MORE HELP IS NEEDED AT RED CROSS CENTER With the need of Red Cross bandages greater now than ever before since the war began, ' the quota for Springville and . other Red Cross centers has been greatly great-ly increased and it is, therefore, the patriotic duty of every woman wom-an who has any time at all, to do their part by aiding with this work. According to Mrs. J. W. Grant, chairman of the Red Cross bandage ban-dage center in Springville, this community has been asked to make 30,000, or a carton, of bandages ban-dages each month, instead of the 15,000 per month quota. The amount being double that of previous prev-ious months, more help is needed and an SOS call is being sent out to everyone who can to come and spend a few hours at the Red Cross center making bandages. One may never know but what the very bandages made at the local center may help save the life of a local man on the battlefront or the life of some other mother's son. The work is important, as hundreds of thousands of these small bandages are heeded immediately. imme-diately. The work by those women who come faithfully to the center, and of all who spend a few hours there is appreciated, and an urgent invitation invi-tation is extended to all others. The Red Cross center is open from 2 to 4 p. m., and from 7 to 9 p. m., daily, except Saturday and Sunday. |
