Show THE LEGION AUXILIARY GAVE A PARTY Wednesday evening at Memorial hall for their partners and members mem-bers of the Legion and their partners. part-ners. The group, numbering nearly a hundred members and guests, were served at one long table decorated with a large birthday cake and green plants suggestive of St. Patrick's Pat-rick's Day. The guests all wore green caps during the evening. Mrs. W. H. Brown was toast-master, toast-master, being introduced by Mrs. Bird Brown, president of the unit, who with Secretary Olive Miller and other executive officers, arranged ar-ranged the party. The program for the evening included in-cluded a song in costume, by auxiliary aux-iliary members and directed by Julia Sumsion; toasts by Mrs. Inez Chader and Glenn Sumsion; vocal selections by Veloy Singleton and Lillie Mae Wicker; a stunt reading by Twain Tippetts and Mary Louise Lou-ise Gordon; duet, Harlan Boyer and Leo Weight, accompanied by Mrs. Weight. After the banquet, the group enjoyed en-joyed dancing. |
