Welch Sr., have returned from a two-weeks' trip which took them to the graduation grad-uation exercises of their son, Lt. David B. Welch Jr., at Lubbock, Texas, and also of their daughter, daugh-ter, Gertrude Ann- Welch from LaVern College at LaVern, Calif. After his graduation, in which he received his pilot's wings and a commission of second lieutenant, Lt. Welch, with his parents, also attended the graduation of his sister, Gertrude Ann, who received re-ceived a Bachelor of Arts degree from LaVern College, one of the Claremont group. He left Tuesday for Lubbock, for further assignment, assign-ment, and Gertrude Ann will spend a vacation here before returning re-turning to LaVern. . John Wells Johnson has returned re-turned to Colorado Springs, Colo., after a six-days' visit with his mother, Mrs. Henrietta J. Harmer and other relatives and friends here. Mrs. Emma Alleman recently returned from Chandter, Ariz., where she attended the graduation gradua-tion exercises of her son David, received a commission of second sec-ond lieutenant and his pilot's wings.
