Show COMMITTEE IS NAMED FOR SCOUT ELECTION A committee of five was appointed ap-pointed at the district Scout meeting meet-ing last Friday evening in the seminary building, to nominate officers of-ficers of the district for the ensuing en-suing year. A' report of the committee com-mittee is to be made at the next district meeting, scheduled for Friday, Sept. 3, at the seminary. C. G. Salisbury is committee chairman, with William T. Tew, Paul Walker, Clifford Crandall and Glen Sumsion, other members. Chief A. A. Anderson, of the National Parks council, of Provo, spoke during the meeting, emphasizing empha-sizing the importance of adapting the Scout program to new war conditions, and to the new boys who are coming into the communities. communi-ties. He also outlined the method of election of district officers. The meeting was under the direction di-rection of Chairman M. W. Bird, and a representative group of Scout workers attended. |
