Show 'CHURCH NOTICES Marking the close of the Second Sec-ond Ward Primary activities for the summer, a play will be presented pre-sented by the boys and girls of the organization this evening, beginning at 8 p. m., in the ward hall. The play is entitled, "Happy Land Broadcast," and will be presented pre-sented in the form of a television program. In connection with the entertainment, enter-tainment, there will be a handiwork handi-work display of articles made by the children. Officers and teachers of the Primary feel that the summer activities have been successful and urge all ward members to attend at-tend and see the displays. Fourth Ward . Sunday Evening Services ... The program will be presented by the Seagull class of the Primary Pri-mary organization in connection with their graduation exercises, and several fine numbers are arranged. ar-ranged. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p. m., and an invitation invi-tation is extended to all members mem-bers of the ward and especially parents of seagull girls, to attend. Mrs. Marie Whiting, primary president, is in charge of the meeting. Relief Society . . . President Lura Patrick of the Fourth Ward Relief Society, announces an-nounces the regular August meeting meet-ing will be held at the chapel next Tuesday afternoon and all members and others interested are invited. The program planned for the afternoon, will include a one-act play to be given by Mrs. Almina Madsen. Fifth Ward ... Sunday Evening . . . Beginning at 6:30 p. m., the Seagull girls of the Fifth ward primary will conduct a candle-lighting candle-lighting ceremony and program in connection with their graduation exercises with all of the girls taking tak-ing part, under direction of Mrs. Estella Ollerton, class instructor. The meeting will be held in the Second ward chapel, and all members mem-bers of the ward and friends are urged to attend. ' Harvest Festival . . . , On Monday evening, the Primary Pri-mary organization will conduct their first big harvest festival, beginning at 8 p. m., in the Second Sec-ond ward chapel. The purpose of the festival is to exhibit work done during the summer and acquaint ac-quaint parents with Primary activities. activ-ities. A fine program is arranged for the evening and there will be a number of display booths featuring fea-turing the children's summer work. Boys and girls of the Primary are asked to come to the Second ward Monday at 4 p. m., to have their pictures taken. They are asked ask-ed to bring their summer project work. r w Sixth Ward . . . Sunday Evening . . . Fast meeting will be conducted in the Sixth ward Sunday at 12:15 p. m., announces Bishop Erwin Sheffield. The Sunday " evening meeting will be under direction of the Primary Pri-mary and will mark the graduation gradua-tion of the Seagull class. A fine program is arranged for the eve.-ning, eve.-ning, including a play by the Seagull Sea-gull girls, a girls' chorus and other oth-er numbers. All are invited. The meeting begins at 7:45 in the Fourth ward chapel. |
