Show JUNIOR CHAMBER I MEMBERS ARE GUESTS OF NEPHI Softball Games Prove Interesting To Fans; Show-Boat Party Planned A large number of Springville Jaycees and their wives went to Nephi last Thursday to attend an inter-club canyon social given by the Nephi club in Salt Creek canyon. can-yon. Games, a very fine program and a delicious supper were enjoyed en-joyed by nearly 200 guests from all parts of the state. Those attending at-tending from Springville were: Mr. and Mrs. Steve Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Crandall, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Boyer, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Mortensen, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Klauck, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Miner, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rad-cliffe Rad-cliffe Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lund-quist, Lund-quist, Mr. and Mrs. Don Rigby, Mr. and Mrs. Bliss Packard, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Thorn and Mr. and Mrs. Kay Johnson. A number from the local club also plan to attend the charter and installation banquet of the Payson club this evening. The Springville Jaycees lost a close but very exciting ball game to the boys from the Provo Jaycees Jay-cees last Monday evening- bv a score of 17 to 14. About sixteen local fellows participated in the event while their wives exchanged news items of interest with the Provo ladies who attended the kame. The boys also played a game with Pleasant Grove last Friday. Tickets will be on sale this week for the 3rd annual Jaycee boat party to be held on Utah lake, Saturday, Aug. 12. Those wishing to sail should contact Mack Crandall or Ernest Holt for obtaining their passports. |
