Show July 24th Celebration To Be at Mapleton Unveiling Of Service People's Pictures And Program Scheduled For 4 P. M. With Sports Events During The Afternoon The unveiling of a placque containing the names and pictures of all Mapleton men and women in the armed forces, will feature the Pioneer Day program in that community Monday, according to announcement, uy cnairmen in charge of the day's entertainment. entertain-ment. The placque, arranged by the Primary organization under direction direc-tion of the presidency, Mrs. Pearl Holley, Mrs. Barbara Murray and Mrs. Beth Jensen, will be unveiled at the Mapleton chapel, during the program beginning at 4 p. m. Aaron Mendenhall of Mapleton is scheduled to give the Pioneer Day address and a supplementary program of music and readings will also be featured. Highlighting the program also, will be acrobatic stunts by the Stewart Sisters, Tora and Valene. During the afternoon, a program pro-gram of sports of all kinds, including in-cluding horseshoe pitching, ball games, races and a fish pond for the little children, will be staged. There will be concessions at the park and swimming and roller skating at the pool and amusement amuse-ment hall, to which all are invited. in-vited. The entertainment is under direction di-rection of the Mutual Improvement Improve-ment officers. |
