Show REDUCES 300 POUNDS IN ONLY 18 MONTHS Don't ask us the details but the Journal of the American Medical association advises that a woman reduced her weight 300 pounds in eighteen months by dieting under medical supervision without injury to her health. The woman, unnamed by the Journal, is 35 years old. She weighed weigh-ed 479i4 pounds. At the end of the experiment she had nearly lost the ability to walk, not because of weakness but because removal of excess fat left muscles too long to work properly. After a few weeks, she walked normally: The diet was below the daily food requirement of the individual, thus forcing the body to consume its own fat for heat and energy. The woman lost 115 pounds during dur-ing the first four months. |
