Show Bridge-Luncheon Qiyen at Maxfield Lodge With the attractive setting of Maxfield lodge in Big Cottonwood canyon, one of the outstanding social so-cial functions of the late summer season was held Saturday afternoon after-noon in the form of a bridge-luncheon. bridge-luncheon. Predominating in the table appointments ap-pointments was a yellow and purple pur-ple color scheme with cosmos, marigolds, and butterfly bush forming a centerpiece. Favors were tiny boutonieres, in the form of vases of flowers. Bridge prizes went to Mrs. Clifford Clif-ford Carter and Mrs. Fern Mace. Guests bidden to the delightful affair were Mrs. Wyman Berg, Mrs. Eugene Oaks, Mrs. L. B. The affair was in the form of a banquet at the home of Miss Helen Christensen. The long dining table was ...beautifully decorated with flowers of the season and covers were arranged for approximately 20 members. A feature of the evening was the presentation of lovely gifts to each of the retiring members. Miss Louise Clyde, club president, presi-dent, was in charge of general arrangements. ar-rangements. A NUMBER OF PARTIES HAVE BEEN GIVEN in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Cal Draper Dra-per of Ames, Iowa, who have been visiting here. Saturday night they were guests of honor at a party given by Mrs. I. M. Draper in Genola. Dinner was served to sixteen guests. On Wednesday night, they were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hales in Mapleton. Following dinner, approximately twelve guests enjoyed a variety of game's. FRIENDS WERE FETED AT A BRIDGE LUNCHEON Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Margaret Christensen. Luncheon was served early in the evening, after which bridge was played, with high score prize going to Mrs. Mildred Larsen and the consolation prize to Ivy Peterson. Pe-terson.
