Show CITY MARSHALS RECOVER STOLEN CAR Springville authorities recovered re-covered a Springville stolen car belonging to Ernest Strong Friday night when they arrested arrest-ed Lee Williams and John Paul Talley of Magna on a drunken driving charge. Later the charge was changed to depriving depriv-ing an owner of his car. Williams and Talley, apparently appar-ently feeling the effects of "joy water," and in the mood for a little ride but without their own transportation facilities, are now lodged in the Utah County jail at Provo quietly meditating over their errors in the short vacation last weekend. week-end. The two took the car from in front of a drug store in Salt Lake City and promptly headed south. Springville Marshal Roy Harrington, who was returning from the Black Hawk celebration celebra-tion at Lehi, noticed the car as it was driven under what appeared ap-peared to be the influence of liquor. At Springville, he, with the night marshal, Frank Met-calf, Met-calf, apprehended the two men at the south city limits of Springville. Later it was learned learn-ed that the two were driving a stolen car and were booked on that charge. |
