Show SUBSCRIPTION DRIVE BIG SUCCESS REPORTS CHAIRMAN The recent drive sponsored by the local Junior Chamber of Commerce to raise money for the Herald to be sent to men and women in service was a great success, according to Ralph Child, chairman of the committee in charge. Response to the appeal for funds was so generous that the expected amount was topped by well over a hundred dollars, and the total amount raised was over The wa.r bond which was given away in connection with the drive was contributed by the c:m-mittee c:m-mittee chairman and was wo'i by A. L. Thorpe. The Junior Cha--T.be:1 takes this opportunity to thank the townspeople and all others who so freely gave to this project, proj-ect, both of their money and their time. The letters appearing weekly week-ly in the Herald show how much the men and women in service appreciate the home-town paper, and it is gratifying to know that they will all receive it another year. Though the drive is officially over, anyone who has not contributed con-tributed or who cares to give more may contact any Jaycee or may send it to either Ralph Childs or Charles Straw, committee members. |
