Show GOVERNOR SETS ARBOR DAY FOR MARCH 31st Urging all citizens to look forward for-ward to the 1947 Pioneer Centennial Cen-tennial celebration, Governor Herbert Her-bert B. Maw today issued his Arbor Ar-bor day proclamation for March 31st. "We know that the Centennial celebration visitors will be attracted attract-ed by our beautiful scenery," the chief executive's proclamation read, "by the grandeur of our mountains; by the wonder of our Great Salt Lake and salt beds and by the richness of our natural resources. "For this reception which we will extend to our many guests and for our own permanent satisfaction, sat-isfaction, every effort should be put forth to plant trees, shrubbery and flowers in the interests of state-wide beautification and improvement." im-provement."
