Show s PHYSICAL STANDARDS i A five-man medical commission, including three civilians, has reported re-ported that lowering of present physical standards would impair military efficiency. The commission commis-sion spent two months studying the manpower requirements of the armed forces. It says that not more than ten percent of the Army Ar-my pers'onnel, 700,000 to 800,000 men, can be composed of men in the standards for limited service and that 500,000 men are now in this category. It disclosed that the 3 357 000 men now in 4-P will be re-examined and estimated that about 250,000 would be found qualified qual-ified for general service. |
