Fletcher Gets New Assignment Lieutenant Quentin Fletcher, son of Mrs. Mae Fletcher of Salt Lake City, formerly of Springville, visited relatives and friends here Wednesday. He has been stationed -in New York and after a two-week leave will go to a new assignment on the west coast. Lt. Fletcher called at the Herald Her-ald office during his visit to express ex-press his appreciation for the home-town paper. Sends Word Of Aprpeciation C. W. Conover, stationed at Camp Haan, Calif., says he is receiving re-ceiving the Springville Herald regularly and surely enjoys it. He comments that Springville is really real-ly growing and also tells that he is on the move again. Local Man Goes Into Service Bernell Thorn, son. of Mr. and Mrs. J. H-Thorn, left recently for the armed forces and after a few weeks' stay at Fort Douglas, was sent to Amarillo, Texas. Local Man Goes To Army Stanley B.
