Among those attending the banquet, ban-quet, at which guests numbered about 900, and also at which E. A. Strong, Springville contractor, was toastmaster, were the following: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Clyde, W. W. Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. John Burt, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lundquist, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Sumsion, Mrs. Floss Johnson, Beth Miller, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Thorn, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thorn, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Thorn, Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Strong, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Strong, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peterson, Peter-son, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Crandall, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Grant, Mr. and Mrs. V. C. Mendenhall, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Mendenhall, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mendenhall, Mr. and Mrs. J. Y. Bearnson, Mr. and Mrs. Bliss Hoover, Mr. and Mrs. Orval Child, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Salisbury, Salis-bury, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Packard, Pack-ard, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Haymond, Mrs. Beulah Whiting, Mrs. Venice Springmeyer, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whiting, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Whit- ing, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Chader, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Morgan. The contracting group, during the banquet, pledged several thousand thous-and dollars in bonds. The contractors contract-ors from Springville pledged a total of $125,000, which the largest larg-est single amount except Salt Lake City. Ogden pledged the same amount. Favors for the ladies at the banquet ban-quet consisted of $5 war stamp corsages. There were approximately approximate-ly 450 ladies present. In addition to the general business busi-ness sessions, which occupied much of the time of the general contractors, con-tractors, and the banquet, the ladies la-dies were guests to see the stage performance, "Junior Miss," on Friday evening. |
