Show I "Higher and Higher," Bright Musical, Starts Next Tuesday Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Thurs-day gives the sensational Frank Sinatra his screen acting debut in a gay piece of film fare, RKO Radio's "Higher And Higher" and co-stars the sky-rocketing singer with Michele Morgan and Jack Haley at the head of a notable cast of mirth-makers, - coming to the Rivoli on these dates. A group of servants in the palatial pala-tial home of a bankrupt piano ty coon join with him to retrieve their joint fortuunes. The complications compli-cations following form the hilarious hilari-ous plot. Miss Morgan portrays the slavey slav-ey and Haley the valet, with Sinatra Sina-tra as a wealthy young songwriter song-writer and neighbor who Is interested inter-ested in the blonde heroine, comes ovr to sing her his newest song and remains to become deeply in volved in the plot. Important is the fact that Jimmy Jim-my McHugh and Harold Adamson wrote the eight tunes featured in the offering. Sinatra sings four of them. Tim Whelen produced the film which is based on the Rodgers and Hart musical stage hit of the same title. |
