Show Engagement Of Local Girl Made Known - - ; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gabbitas announce the engagement of their daughter, Ruth, to Lynn Miner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arden Miner of Orem, the marriage to take P'ace in the near future. Mr. Miner is at present at Nor-folk. Nor-folk. Va., in the navy, stationed n the ship U. S. S. Savannah. MR. AND MRS. LESTER DAVIS ENTERTAINED SATURDAY evening at their home for members of the S. O. H. club of Provo. Bridge and a delicious luncheon were diversions of the evening, and during the games Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hollingshead won high score and Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Mil-denhall Mil-denhall the second favor. Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Culbertson, guests, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Hollingshead and Mr. and Mrs. Mildenhall, members. i"E FOURTH WARD CHOIR ENTERTAINED at a party in Canyon Glen on Monday evening. A delicious picnic uncn. games, and a program were enjoyable features, with a large grouP in attendance. MRS. A. W. CHERRINGTON GAVE A DINNER Sunday at her home complimentary compliment-ary to her daughter, Carol, who is leaving today to attend school at the U. S. A. C, Logan.
