Show NEW FIFTH WARD ORGANIZED AT SUN. CONFERENCE Building Committee Is Named To Make Plans For New Chapel A new ward, to be known as the Fifth ward, was organized in Springville during a conference in the First ward chapel last Sunday evening, with E. A. Strong, stake president, in charge. J. Y. Bearnson, a former counselor coun-selor in the Fourth ward bishopric was sustained bishop of the new ward, with Clarence L. Jensen and Paul Haymond, counselors, and Glenn Allen, ward clerk. With the organization of the bishopric completed, the first or. der of business undertaken by the new organization was to announce members of the committee to be in charge of the building of a new ward chapel. A. O. Thorn was named chairman chair-man of the building committee with George Adams, Ed Clyde, J. C. Nielson, Deal Mendenhall, A. H. Mortensen, Ronald Thorpe, Mrs. J. M. Sumsion, Mrs. H. T. Reynolds, Mrs. Mae Huntington, Mrs. Melinda Sumsion, Mrs. Emil Ostlund, as other members. No definite plans have been announced an-nounced for meetings of the new ward. Conferences in which other organizations or-ganizations will be completed are scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 5, for the new Sixth ward, to be held in the Fourth ward chapel; Sunday, Dec. 12, for the First ward, in the First ward chapel, and on Sunday, Dec. 19, Fourth ward, in the Fourth ward chapel. |
