Show Jaycees Report A large representation from the Springville Junior Chamber of Commerce attended the state quarterly quar-terly board meeting in Salt Lake City on Sunday, according to Kay Johnson, local club president. Those who attended from here were: Grant Thorn, Kay Johnson, Ray L. Richards, Ray Klauck, Verl Whiting, DeVon Ford, Ernest Boyer, Clarence Smith, Richard Conover, Alton Packard and Carl Alleman. President Johnson also announces announ-ces that the club members are still in need of a number of addresses ad-dresses of servicemen and women to send a Christmas letter. If the proper address of a son, husband, or friend, has not been sent to the Herald office for the paper, it should be submitted immediately, as the Jaycees take the addresses sent in for the paper to send out letters. Another project which the local Jaycees are undertaking is that of serving as a recruiting center for WACs. There is now a branch in the air service for the WACs and if anyone is interested in any phase of this service, they may contact Mr. Johnson, and he will take the name and refer it to the proper officer. The next meeting of the Junior Chamber is scheduled for next Thursday evening in the form of a "Sweetheart Party," and the Chamber members will bring their partners. A delightful program is being arranged for the evening to begin at 8 p. m., and members are ured by President Johnson to 1 make plans now to be in attendance. |
