Show Utah Valley Products Week Includes Special Rim Made by Springville Man Makes Color Film ... Utah County did not have a fair this year, but Greater Utah Valley, Val-ley, Inc. is making an effort to sponsor a fine project along the same order as a fair, according to J. A. Miller, who is representing represent-ing Springville on the board in the absence of Sterling Price. The board members held a meeting meet-ing Tuesday evening of this week to outline general plans for the exhibit which will be featured during Utah Valley Products Week, October 22- to 27. The display which will be arranged ar-ranged on the main floor of the City and County Building in Provo, will feature processed and manufactured manu-factured goods from Utah County. Mr. Miller reported that it is surprising sur-prising to note just how many items are manufactured or processed pro-cessed in this locality. The county display will be open to the public and all will be invited in-vited to see it during the special week. 1 An added attraction, besides the displays, will be the showing in the afternoon and evening, of a color film, made by Glen Turner of various industrial developments and scenes in Utah Valley. Mr. Turner has taken numerous pictures pic-tures of agricultural, industrial and recreational areas in the vicinity vi-cinity and has put them together with interesting comment to make a 30-minutes of pictures. The Utah Valley Products Week will also be observed by retail merchants throughout the county in special displays. Glen H. Turner |
