Show Nevs Notes Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holmes and daughter Carole and son Glenn have returned from an enjoyable weeks visit ni San Fernando and Bakersfield districts in California, where Delia Mae and La Mar Holmes are doing missionary work. They report they are very happy and enjoying their work and both send greetings to their friends in Springville. Last Sautrday, Bill Devenish of this city left on a chartered flight to Seattle, accompanied by Stan Ashton of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Leo S. Aston of Salt Lake City. While on flight, they visited Victoria, British Columbia, Port Angeles, Washington, Yakima, Ta-coma Ta-coma and Portland, returning: Julv 24. - Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Jar-vis and family (Mildred Boyerl have returned re-turned to their home in Mesa, Ariz., after spending six weeks in Springville, Spring-ville, where they were guests of Mrs. Jarvis' sister, Miss Mary Bo-yer, Bo-yer, and visited with other relatives rela-tives and friends. Last week, Bert Strong and Leo Crandall in company with Bill Devenish went by plane to Idaho Falls, Idaho on business. Lynette Madsen returned Tuesday Tues-day from a most enjoyable vacation vaca-tion trip to California. She visited visi-ted an uncle and aunt, Capt. and Mrs. Jay Rasband at Monterey and with Sgt. and Mrs. Richard Johnson John-son at Long Beach. During her stay, she toured many points of interest including Carmel-by-the-sea, various radio shows and the beaches. She was gone two weeks. Bill Devenish left Wednesday, July 25 on a chartered flight to Cheyenne, Wyo. Mrs. Elvira Burtoft of Hollywood, Holly-wood, Calif., Mrs. Lillie Bush and daughter Helen of Salt Lake City, are guests of Miss Mary Boyer. |
