Show Funeral Services Here Today For Former Resident Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Geor-gia Sanford Woods, 51, former resident of Springville, who died at Tacoma, Wash., Saturday of a heart ailment, will be conducted in the Springville Fifth-Sixth ward chapel, today at 2 p.m. Bishop Dies In Washington ... r u f - . . ' : Mrs. Georgia S. Wood J. Y. Bearnson will be in charge. Friends may call at the home of a sister, Mrs. Orvil Ence, 655 South Second East, before the services. Burial will be in the Evergreen Ever-green cemetery, directed by A. Y. Wheeler and Son Mortuary. Mrs. Wood was born in Springville, Spring-ville, November 24, 1899, a daughter daugh-ter of Arthur V. and Mary Ellen Mendenhall Sanford. She spent her early life in Springville and attended atten-ded school here and at Starr, Ut. She was married to Harry B. Wood, July 15, 1919, at Richfield. For several years, they made their home in Springville following their marriage and then moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, and later to Tacoma, Washington. Mrs. Wood had taken active part in the community and in LDS church work in Tacoma and had served in the Relief Society. She was the mother of nine sons and daughters with seven living: Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Craggs, Carolyn, Myron and Louise Wood, Mrs. Janice Johnston and Mrs. Janiell Mulhalland all of Washington; Mrs. Leone McGrane of Idaho Falls, Idaho; also her mother of Springville and the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters: Mrs. Jessie Wickman, Oakland, Calif. Mrs. Carrie Jolley, Port Clinton, Ohio; Mrs. Helen Day, San Juan Banesta, Calif.; Mrs. Alice Ence, Frank Sanford, Howard Sanford of Springville; Arthur V. Sanford of Manchester, Wash.; Eugene Sanford, Spanish Fork. |
