Show Clubs Will Assist With Rest Room Project At Kellys At a meeting of the city council coun-cil and representatives from practically prac-tically all of the civic clubs of Springville last Friday evening, concerning the building of rest rooms at Kelly's Grove, the club representatives expressed themselves them-selves as being willing to make a membership assessment for the project. "The Lions club had ' previously offered to do the work providing the necessary materials were made available. The club representatives offered to raise a portion of the funds through their assessment providing the city would finance the remainedr. The Springville Recreation Association, Inc., also contributed $50 toward the project. pro-ject. The plan was not decided definitely, defin-itely, however, until the various group representatives contacted their membership to find if there were any objections to the plan. Should any other club desire to do the work on the rest rooms instead in-stead of being assessed, it would be agreeable with the Lions club, it was. announced and they would make their membership assessment. assess-ment. It was believed that the project would go through as planned and the rest rooms be built in the very near future. Providing the Lions club have charge of the work and the necessary nec-essary funds for the project are raised, Mark Whiting, representing represent-ing the Lions, will have charge of the project. Mark also supervised the. building of the beautiful fireplace fire-place at the Grove, built by the Lions. |
