Show j New Grant School Dedication Exercises 'I Scheduled Wednesday Night, Nov. 30 Public Invited to Program, Tour of Building; Dedication by G. W.Sumsion The new Grant Elementary grade school located just north of the old Grant on Fourth East Second South street, will be dedicated next Wednesday even- ing, November 30, at 7:30 p.m. An invitation is extended to the public pub-lic to attend. The dedication prayer will be by Attorney Glen W. Sumsion of Springville. La Von Payne, president of Nebo School District Board of Education, Educa-tion, will be in charge of the pro. gram which is arranged as follows fol-lows : Prelude and postlude music by Mrs. Eileen Bird, Carol Kreth and Mrs. Mary Bird. Musical numbers will be given by the Third grades directed by Mrs. Edna Thorpe, Mrs. Melba Johnson, and Helen Clark, teachers, accompanied by Mary K. Stewart. Invocation will be by F. C. Packard. The principal address will be by Elmer J. Hartvigsen, assistant state superintendent of public instruction in-struction and by W. W. Brock-bank, Brock-bank, superintendent of Nebo Comments will be made by Claude S. Ashworth of Provo, architect ar-chitect for the building and by Donald M. Talboe, general contractor. con-tractor. Presentation of the building will be by Leo A. Crandall, Springville school board member, and A. Le-Roy Le-Roy Erickson, principal of the Grant school will formally accept. There will be a vocal solo, "A Perfect Day," by Wm. Schreiner, accompanied by Mrs. Schreiner. Following the program, the teachers will be in their rooms. to show guests the fine facilities which the school has to offer. Refreshments Re-freshments will be served in the school library under direction of the school lunch personnel, and PTA officers. The new building which was occupied oc-cupied part of last year and this was begun in February of 1954 at a building cost of $205,607. The furnishings have been added.
