Show Invitation Given To Birthday Fete Mrs. George Hales will be honored at an open house reception recep-tion on her 80th birthday, Sunday January 8th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at her residence, 111 East 1st North, Spanish Fork to which Springville friends and relatives are invited. Mrs. Hales, a daughter of Joshua and Sarah Ann Jex Brock-bank Brock-bank was born January 4, 1870 at Spanish Fork. She married George Hales in the Logan Temple on March 14, 1888. They were the parents par-ents of eleven children, nine of whom are still living. Mrs. Hales has been active in the auxiliary organizations of the Church, and has been an officer in Relief Society since 1891. She is a charter member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and is, also, a Gold Star Mother of World War I. She is also a member of the Spanish Fork Garden Club. For her age, she is well and very active and her hobbies are flower gardening, crocheting and making quilts. She loves to write and to receive letters. Her sons and daughters are: G. Ray Hales; Mrs. Milton (Leah) Harrison; Mrs. Victor (Mary) Frandsen, Springville; Mrs. (Helen) Hawkins; Nathan and Angus Hales, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Richard (Agnes) Higgins, Salt Lake City; Dr. Lock Hales, Glcndale Calif., and Dr. Hial M. Hales, Los Angeles, Calif. She also has 27 grandchildren grand-children and 2 great grandchildren. No invitations are being sent. All friends and relatives are invited in-vited to call and Mrs. Hales asks that no gifts be brought. Mrs. Hales has spent considerable time in Springville with her son and daughters. |
