"TOT" is a tremendous program which will not only bring hope, and pleasure to many thousands of Europe's children, but it will make them, in years to come, true friends of America. The American Legion is confident that children of America will share generously with those less fortunate overseas, that the "Tide of Toys" will be overwhelming. oxTide Of Toys" To Continue State Legion Officials A "Tide of Toys" is swelling over America as children and grownups of all ages are responding respond-ing to a nationwide appeal of the American Legion to share Christmas toys with the impoverished impover-ished children of, Europe. Countless thousands of toys from generous children all over America will be loaded aboard a chartered "Santa Claus" ship which sails from Philadelphia in late January. In Europe the toys will be distributed to deserving children under auspices of C A R E. Meanwhile, American Legion posts are gathering toys from all parts of America.
