"'Olofn; Salt Lake Bees will show films and discuss the sport on a local and national scope. Refreshments are being planned to be sold to assist in raising funds for the Little League program. It was pointed out by Director Pehrson, that the Little League 13th birthday comes after August ( 1, 1955, are eligible to participate in the popular sport. Teams this year will be chosen in the four school areas, with sponsors assigned to the various teams. Students in the Jefferson .school area will be sponsored by the Springville Jaycees; in the Lincoln school, Twenty-thirty club, Brookside school, Haymond Drug; Grant School, Utah Service. The league schedule will begin on June 2 with twelve games scheduled for the 'season. This year, each team will be outntted in new baseball suits. Director Pehrson is asking that all boys eligible to play in the baseball program should contact the mana- ger in tneii-respective tuuu These managers are Bill Jones of the Jaycees (Jefferson school i ; Billy Duncan, Twenty-Thirty club. (Lincoln school); Wave Miguel,. Utah Service (Grant school); Le-Grande Le-Grande Young, Haymond Drug (Brookside school). Mr. Miguel has been named chairman of a committee to plan an orientation night for parents of boys in the Little League age group.
