Show Pehrson Faces Rebuilding Job on HS Football Team Faced with the task of replacing three all-staters and all but one regular from last year's "B" second place club, Springville high school football coach George Pehr.son still believes that this year's team will more than hold its own against the stiff opposition op-position it will face each week. Eighty suits were issued for opening practice Monday, and since that time Pehrson has already al-ready spotted some top material. Lost by way of graduation were all-staters Clair Shipp, Phillip Harrison Har-rison and Jerry Smith. Also missing miss-ing from the ranks are Joe Rawl, Phillip Wright, Robert Chapman, Mark Eills, Sam Francis, Eddie Holmes, and Duke R.eid. Coming up to take the place of these men Pehrson has Don Tuttle, Richard Watts, Eob Curtis, and Larry Elderedge in the backfield. Up front on the forward wall Don Parker and Lynn Ash will see a lot of action on the flanks, with Calvin Thorpe, Howard Stewart, and Kay Cook right behind them. One tackle slot will probably be handled by Garth Whitney, only returning regular, with Serg Nelson Nel-son and Gene Tippetts battling for the other side. Guards Billie Bleggi, Gary Roth-lisberger Roth-lisberger and Afton Engle will take charge of the opening between be-tween center and tackle. Rex Elanchard appears' to have the inside track for the center post. Pehrson will again use the unbalanced un-balanced single-wing formation that gave him his second place last year. A complete roster follows: Seniors: Don Miner, Gordon Livingston, Liv-ingston, Marlin Boyer, Don Tuttle, Garth Whitney, Gary Rothlisber-ger, Rothlisber-ger, Serge Nelson, Richard Watts, Billie Bleggi, Donald Parker, Bob Curtis, Lynn Ash, Robert Larabee, Junior Martin, Carl Park, Bud Bate, Bernell Hutohings, Calvin Thorpe, Gary Tipton, Roe Hillman.
