Show City-County Health Department to Get Veterinarian Alarmed over the 16,115 pounds of unsatisfactory meat that was condemned in Utah county last year, the state has given Utah county the go-ahead signal to hire a, full time veterinarian that will "be hired to maintain the standard stand-ard of meat inspection set up by the Board of Health." Utah county has for some time felt the need for the hiring of a full-time veterinarian to supervise and work in the meat 'inspection department of the City-County Health Department, but, because of lack of funds, have not done so. With the hiring of this veterinarian veterin-arian a new program of meat inspection in-spection will bo inaugurated. Under Un-der this program all animals killed for consumption custom as well as resale will be required to pass inspection. This will insure the owner that his animal is wholesome whole-some and free from disease. |
