Show Buckaroo Queen To Be Selected At Spanish Fork SPANISH FORK "Queen Off the Spanish Buckaroo Days," will . be the title of a lucky young lady whose election to that office will be announced one week previous to the event at the Angelus theater, the-ater, where Arthur Jolley, manager, man-ager, is conducting a queen contest con-test vhich gets underway Tuesday Tues-day night. This contest will be by popular vote only, no votes are to be sold but patrons of the theater will be allowed ten votes with each adult ticket or student ticket. The winner win-ner in addition to the honor of reigning through the celebration will receive a cash prize. Members of the American Legion Le-gion post 68, are preparing a float which will appear at the Pleasant Grove Strawberry day celebration Wednesday, the float will advertise adver-tise Spanish Buckaroo days, the big Independence day celebration which will be staged here, July 2, 3 and 4, inclusive. In addition Ed's Cafe will send a girls sofctball team to Pleasant Grove and the girls will wear the Mexican " hats advertising the event. These features of advertising were discussed at a mass meeting Monday night at the American Legion hall, in which all civic organizations or-ganizations of the city were represented. |
