Show TEW FAREWELL IN HIGH SCHOOL SUNDAY NITE A. farewell testimonial will be held in the high school auditorium at 7 p.m. Sunday, for William T. Tew and his family who will leave about June 10 to make their home in Louisville, Ky. Mr. Tew has accepted a call to serve as president presi-dent of the central states mission, mis-sion, while his two daughters, Merlene and Helen, will labor as missionaries. Mr. Tew has been employed as seminary teacher in Springvile since 1924. Before that time 'he had taught in the southern part of the state and in Idaho. 'He has also served as a missionary in New Zealand. His splendid services serv-ices in seminary and other church work here and at Mapleton has qualified him to serve with highest high-est efficiency in his present calling, call-ing, friends believe. Merlene, a teacher in the Pay-son Pay-son junior high school for the past two years, will do regular missionary work. Helen will do clerical work at the mission headquarters. head-quarters. Both girls are attending missionary school in Salt Lake City. Another daughter, Naomi Tew left last fall for an L. D. S. mission in the eastern states. A farewell testimonial will feature fea-ture an excellent program to which all friends, and ward and etake members are co"dially invited in-vited to attend. Ail regular night meetings in Springville and Mapleton will be cancelled for the testimonial. |
