Show MAPLETON I By DELIA HOUTZ The Mapleton male chorus and their partners enjoyed a banquet Wednesday evening at the school house auditorium in honor of Mr. Harold Holley, who is leaving shortly to make his home in : Trementon. An interesting pro-! gram was featured with dancing later in the evening and music by the Springville Buckaroos. Mrs. M. T. Harmon, Miss Hazel Harmon, Mr. Stanley Powell, and Mr. Elroy Harmon of Price were week-end visitors at Mapleton. A wedding dance at the Maple-'ton Maple-'ton ward amusement hall was given Friday night in honor of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Binks, the latter was formerly Miss Katheryn Zwallen of Kenil-worth Kenil-worth previous to the marriage which took place April 10 at Ogden. Og-den. Many friends atetnded the dance, and the newlyweds received many beautiful gifts. Mrs. Binks e was extensively entertained last week by relatives and friends. The Mapleton Daughters of Pioneers camp held their regular meeting at the home of Mrs. Mark Perry last Thursday afternoon. A good program and delicious refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed, besides the lesson, "Utah and Johnson's Army." Miss Cleo Whiting entertained twenty little friends at her home in honor of her brother, Rondo's seventh birthday, last Saturday afternoon. An attractive lunch was served to the little guests. A group of friends motored to Cocoanut Grove in Salt Lake City,' Saturday night where they attended attend-ed a dancing party. Those who attended were: Miss Hazel Harmon, Har-mon, Mr. Stanley Powell, Miss Lucile Houtz, Mr. Elroy Harmon, Miss Zozelle Houtz, and Mr. Cornell Cor-nell Davis. |
