Show The LaJolie club gave a swimming swim-ming party Monday night at Park Ro-She. A dclicioUH jot luck supper sup-per was enjoyed after the swim nt the home of Mrs. Harriet Miner. In atlendanee were: Mrs. Kern Senior, Mm. Dona Whitney, Mrs. liillie Hurt, Mrs. Helen Stafford, Staf-ford, Mrs. Until Miller, Mrs. Keva Roylnnce, Mr, fcvelyii liuyer, Mrs. Fay Hansen, Mi's. I.eriure VViht-man, VViht-man, and Miss Virginia Rivers, the latter three being guests. Mis. Phihlu Finley spent the past few days with her- brother Grant and family at Paul, Idaho. Mr. and Mis. Kmil Ostlund and little daughter Norma Kae, accompanied ac-companied Liy Mis. John Hardy and daughters Ruth and Joyce, spent a delightful day Thursday with relatives and friends at Manti. Mrs. Gran! Thorn and little son returned to Rigby, Idaho, the latter lat-ter part of last week alter spending spend-ing a' short time at her home in Springville. Members of the K. T. club were pleasantly entertained Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Km-ma Km-ma Howland. A tasty and well arranged luncheon was served at 8 p. m., followed by bridge. High score prize for the games was won by Mrs. Gertrude Sumsion. The entertaining rooms were ibeauti-fully ibeauti-fully decorated with gladiolas and other summer flowers. Ten club members and two guests, Mrs. Thelma Cherrington and Mrs. Fern Senior attended. Mrs. J. W. Grant of Bingham is spending a few days with her son Joseph VV. Grant and family in this city. Mrs. John R. Anderson spent a few days of the past week With relatives at Fairview. In honor of Miss Naomi Har-mer, Har-mer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Finest Harmer of this city, who was recently married to George H. Meiling of Spanish . Fork, a miscellaneous shower was given at the home of the bride's parents, Wednesday evening. A pleasant social time was spent and a tasty luncheon was served in conclusion. The bride received many lovely gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Clements and family spent the past week with relatives and friends at Salt Lake City and Bingham. In celebration of her birthday, Miss Reo Nielson entertained a group of friends at a party at her home Wednesday evening. She was assisted by her mother Mrs. J. C. Nielson. After assembling at the Nielson home, the guests participated par-ticipated in a treasure hunt which furnished much amusement. Other games and social chat were also enjoyed. In conclusion a dainty lunch was served to 22 guests. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Groesbeck accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. lilugene Hales and family, spent the week end touring Zion and Bryce canyons. Mrs. Groesbeck and her grandson, Russell, stopped stop-ped at Glendale and will visit a short time with Mr. Groesbeck, who is employed with the U. S. bureau of public roads. v meeting of the class will be held August 4, at the home of Mrs. Mabelle Hanson. , Mrs. Delia Anderson accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Marjorie Martina of Los Angeles, Calif., have just returned to their homes after a visit with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Alexander and family in Springville. Mrs. Samantha Johnson and Miss Marjorie Mar-jorie Alexander of Los Angeles, Calif., are spending a month with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Alexander. Mr. and Mrs. . Dean Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. Max Packard returned Monday from a five days' trip . to Zion and Bryce canyons and Fish lake. week end visiting friends and relatives at Cedar City and other points in southern Utah. J. Milton Groesbeck has returned return-ed to his work at Grangerville, Ida., after a visit with relatives nere and at Provo. Mrs. Groesbeck Groes-beck and baby will remain in Provo for a short time before returning to Idaho. Mrs. G. L. Beardall and daughter daugh-ter Anna have returned from an enjoyable visit with their son and brother, Warren Beardall and family, at Reno, Nev. " Mr. and Mrs. Grover Clyde and daughters of Milwaukee, Wis., have been visiting the past week with Mrs. Clyde's mother, Mrs., Jennie Starr and other relatives rela-tives in Springville. En route to Utah they spent nearly three weeks . touring places of interest in the northwest and the west coast. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Childs and Mr. and Mrs. T E. Childs returned recently from a delightful trip to fciouider dam and Zion, Bryce and the Grand canyons. Mrs. Julia Sumsion and two daughters are spending the week with Mrs. Sumsion's mother and sister at Richfield. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Smith, Miss Dona Collins and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brown of Provo returned re-turned recently from a delightful trip to Yellowstone national park. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Peery, Mr. an d M rs. Lloyd Bird an d Mr. and Mrs. Arvii Bird of this city are spending the week on a trip to Yellowstone national park and the Jackson Hole country. Mr. and Mrs. J. X. Gardner j and son Dougall X., spent the Mr. and Mrs. James Judd of Hurricane, Utah, were guests recently re-cently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hales in this city. Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Hutchings spent Pioneer day with their children, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Pepcorn and daughters of Ogden. They also spent Sunday at Como ! Springs in a family group. Fern Hutchings is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. C. 71. McDonald of Evanston, Wyoming. i Mr. Ralph Hutchings was honorably hon-orably discharged from the U.S. navy -April 2U, 1937. He has been visiting with his parents for two months, accompanied by his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hutchings returned to their home in California, Cal-ifornia, after visiting with their parents and relatives in Utah. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Groesbeck and family went to Logan Wednesday Wed-nesday to visit Mrs. Groesbeck's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Cowley. Mrs. Groesbeck will spend several days with her parents par-ents and other relatives there. Mrs. Martin Koenzen of Denver, Den-ver, -Colo., is visiting her broth-ther broth-ther Mark Alexander and family, and other relatives in Springville. Spring-ville.
